Tocopherols : Tocopherol is a Natural Anti-Oxidant; retards the development of rancidity and extends product's shelf life naturally. Tocopherol is used widely in Fats, Oils, Meat, Poultry, Bread, Confectionery, Bakery Products, Cereals, Baked Goods, Fish, Sea Food, Nuts, Dairy and Candy. It also finds usage in the manufacturing of Nutritional Supplements and Functional Foods.

Phytosterols : Phytosterol contains high concentration of plant sterols, which includes Beta-Sitosterols, Stigmasterols and Campesterols.

 

Phytosterol is an anti-lipidaemic agent. It has a physiologic hypocholesterolaemic action (lowering of LDL Cholesterol level), mildly inhibits lypolysis (mobilization of free fatty acids) and raises HDL Cholesterol level.
This can be used as an active ingredient in formulations for treating cardio-vascular disease.

Phytosterol Esters : Phytosterol Esters help in lowering of serum LDL Cholesterol level with no change in HDL Cholesterol values, thus reduce the risk of coronary heart diseases. This can be used in spreads, salad dressings (mayonnaise and spicy sauces), snack bars, milk type drinks, cheese type products, yogurt type products and as a dietary supplement.

Phytosterol Water dispersible : The water dispersible phytosterol is an off white to cream coloured powder with a slight odour and taste. It comprises soya phytosterols with lactose and or succinic acid. It is specially formulated for use in aqueous systems such as in low fat or fat free dairy / beverage applications, beverage powders, beverage whiteners and dairy beverage powders for drinks. It has good handling properties. It may also be added to food supplements. Moreover Phytosterols are FDA approved and have been given GRAS status.
